Presentation of the Digne via Ferrata
Overlooking the highs of Digne les Bains, the Via ferrata called “Rocher de neuf heures” (or the Nine hours Rock) offers various activities. Indeed, you will find caves, some rock-climbing, a monkey-bar bridge and a Himalayan bridge.
The via ferrata of Digne is located in a charming middle mountain environment. You will spend a very nice and sportive day.
The Planning of the Day
The Via Ferrata of Digne les bains starts with 40 minutes of approach walk in the forest. Then an exploration and familiarization with the equipment. Finally the ascension will begin. The first part of the via ferrata consists of 2 caves, one ladder, some beautiful landscapes and a huge Himalayan bridge.
The 2nd part of the via ferrata of the nine hours rock is shorter. It consists of an ascent ending on a small monkey-bar bridge. Finally you all you will have to do is walk 25 minutes to join the Digne town.
Difficulty: Easy (for beginners and children).
This adventure is open to everyone (including children). Indeed, the installed equipment allows adults and children of 12 to go through the different exercises in the via ferrata.
Where is the Digne via ferrata located?
The meeting point is located at the “General de Gaule” place in the town of Digne les bains. The GPS coordinates of the meeting point are the following :

Park your car in Digne (where you can) and joint your instructor with your sport shoes and your bag at the de Gaule place.
