Presentation of the Cramassouri Canyon
The Cramassouri canyon is located near Nice, in the Tinée valley. It is a good canyon for initiation as it offers nice views and various activities. Indeed, during your 2 hours 30 minutes of activity, you will experience natural slides, various jumps and abseiling. This small watercourse is very well reputed and known by canyoning passionate from Nice.
Geologically speaking, the Cramassouri canyon is located in a limestone massif and it is a wild valley. It flows into the Tinée River. The Tinée valley is known thanks to the Isola mountain station.
The Planning of the Day
The meeting with your instructor will take place at 1km near the Courbaise village in the Tinée valley (there is a parking). After a distribution of the equipment; your instructor will guide you to the parking which allow you to access the canyon. After a short (15 minutes) walk, it will be the time to go into the canyon and enjoy your day with many aquatic games offered by the anthology canyon.

The Cramassouri canyon lasts 2h30. You need to know to swim and be in good health. This canyon is addressed mostly to beginners, it is perfect for a first experience in canyoning.
Where is the Cramassouri canyon located?
The Cramassouri canyon is located the commune of Tour-sur-Tinée. The GPS coordinates of the parking lot are the following :
43.9319, 7.1756 (decimal degrees)
43°55'54.8"N 7°10'32.2"E (DMS).
From Nice, take the N202 in the Digne les bains direction. Follow the signs for “Isola”. They will guide you into the Tinée valley. Continue to follow the D2205 until you reach the Courbaise village. At around 1km after the Courbaise hamlet stop at the parking. You will be able to see the end of the canyon on the other side of the Tinée River.

In Verdon Gorge, the roads are very smalls with a lot of turns. Take a couple of time more to get the meeting point.
